INSURANCES FOR HOSPITALS – AND THE PUBLIC HEALTH CARE SECTOR2018-09-27T10:11:02+02:00

CURRENT SITUATION – PUBLIC HEALTH CARE SECTOR

There are many risks in the public health care sector, and not all of them are related to doctor’s liability. Legal and regulatory requirements play an equally important role as technology and compliance issues. Moreover, health care institutions increasingly face indemnity claims filed against them by social insurance carriers. Therefore, a comprehensive and integral insurance cover is indispensable. The following are core processes in relation with the special insurance matters of hospitals and health care institutions: risk analysis and assessment, (ongoing) optimization of insurance contracts, claims settlement and ongoing employee training concerning risk and liability matters.

  • Liability risks arising from the treatment of patients

  • Operational, legal and technical risks

  • Damage to tangible assets like e.g. medical devices due to explosions, fire, etc.

  • Risks arising from the loss of sensitive data
